How does it work ??

When less is more :
Create Buzz - a lot of buzz - role out the product in limited numbers - tadaaa!! People go mad about your product.

TATA DOCOMO - They went all out with their promotions, painted the town, pulse calling, introduced radical plans, motivated people to follow them on twitter. When they had to release sim cards, put them on limited stock so that the price shoots up, creating more buzz and talk about the whole thing..

Google Wave - Roll out only 1 lakh invites, limited preview .. people dying for invitations, this becomes the trending topic for weeks ..

This is where it goes all wrong.. All hyped products IMHO(In My Honest Opinion) fail.. miserably cos they fail to meet the expectations they set.. even if they do, you just gave what you promised .. what's the big deal ..

Look at it this way .. as long as its not a one time product .. like life insurance .. you are doing no good to yourself by disappointing them.

Why the hell did I say all this??
Personal life .. most relationships are long term (infact it would be inappropriate to call them relationship if it was not long term).. so give them lesser expectations and deliver more .. I think it works :)

I really have no idea what I just blogged about .. who cares .. its what blogs are for ..
